Job Description
Job Title: Automation TechnicianLocation: Cape Town, with regional travel across South Africa & SADC countries
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary & Benefits:
- CTC Negotiable
- R2,000 monthly medical aid contribution

- Provide technical support on digital farming (DF) and automation products, including installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Develop AutoCAD drawings and assist in system design
- Assemble and test automation units (irrigation dosing, controllers, radio units, etc.)
- Wire and configure cabinets and electrical panels
- Offer telephonic and on-site support to clients and dealers across South Africa and SADC
- Train end users and dealers on the use and maintenance of automation equipment
- Assist with filter banks and related product servicing as needed
- Report directly to the Technical Manager, with additional support provided to the Product Manager
- BTech or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Mechatronics
- 3-5 years of relevant technical experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD, and ideally familiar with Inventor software
- Knowledge of VSD/PLC systems, ELV electrical systems, computer hardware, and hydraulic/flow dynamics
- Qualified electrician status is strongly preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and training capabilities
- Valid drivers license and passport role includes frequent travel
