Working hours:

Monday - Friday 13:00 - 18:30, every 2nd Saturday 08:00 - 14:00

School holiday hours:

Same as above / Slightly Flexible


A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their 2 children

Area:

Parkmore, Sandton

Children's Ages:

7 year old - Girl & 9.5 year old - Boy

Child's Neurodivergence Snapshot:

9.5 year old has ADHD -not fond change, but adapts with some time. Needs extra time to process things, i.e may need to repeat instructions twice. 7 year old has elephant memory, mostly cooperative, good with keeping her brother in check too.

Support Style:

Both kids do OT, and so these therapy styles can be used for their care, son often needs movement breaks, to refocus, therabrushing to desensitise and is on Ritalin which starts to wear off around 4.30pm.

Duties:

Collect from school, Take to extra-murals, Assist with and supervise homework, Engaging in intellectually stimulating play & activities with child, Bathing your children, Occasional Babysitting and weekend work (by prior arrangement - this would be exceptionally rare perhaps once in 3 months and for 2-3 hours max. )

Special Requirements:

Female, 25 - 40years old. We have an ADHD child, needs patience and will need repeat instructions.

Start Date and contract term:

20 December 2025

OR

2 January 2026 - permanent

Salary:

R13 500 - R14 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)



All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

Must have a clear criminal record

Must have a passion for children

Must have Matric

Must have a South African ID document.
