To conduct sector research, analysis and financial modelling to enable Sector Coverage in delivering universal sector leadership and expertise into Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) and the client franchise.
Key Functions include :
Adhere to applicable CIB policies, systems, processes and procedures to ensure the compliance and fulfilment of all relevant risk, regulatory and business control requirements.
Build and / or update sector specific forecast / financial models to determine the competitive landscape of the sector and to generate analytics and insights (charts, dashboards) for use in sector insight reports, presentations, publications and pitches.
Collate relevant information and data for the purpose of tracking performance metrics that inform client, sector and market trends to support the origination of sustainable solutions.
Conduct primary and secondary research, collect, interpret and analyse client and sector data, developments and trends and maintain the Sector Coverage database to enable Sector Coverage tactics.
Qualifications
Degree in Banking. Finance or Commerce
Post Graduate Qualification would be preferred
3-4 years proficient understanding of a specific sector and overall CIB value proposition to enable sector origination. Energy & Infrastructure Sector experience would be preferred
3-4 years understanding of the regulatory environment for the relevant sectors in which CIB operate to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
3 years experience in Corporate Banking environment, with demonstrated exposure to credit risk

Client Servicing - The ability to respond to client requirements, queries and complaints and log
order entries into relevant company system
Financial Modelling - Understanding of financial models and the ability to utilize modelling software
packages.
Product Knowledge (Trading, Transacting) - Knowledge of equity derivative product, electronic trading engines, prime brokerage and other institutional equity products.
Quantitative Analysis - The ability to build, analyse and interpret quantitative models to determine
potential risk exposure.
Risk Management - Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of risk management
methodologies, tools, governance structures and regulatory requirements for
good management of risk.
