Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and reliable individual to join our kitchen team as an Assistant to the Kitchen Manager and Head Chef. The successful candidate must have a passion for food, be creative, and perform well under pressure.
Requirements:
- Formal training or certification in professional food preparation (Cheffing) and kitchen management.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of portion control and food preparation.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and cost estimation in a professional kitchen.
- Must be proficient in using computers and basic software for planning and purchasing.
- Ability to compile menus and calculate costs effectively
- Must be creative and able to think on their feet.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends if necessary.
- Must be reliable, have a positive work attitude, and perform well under pressure.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
