Ensure that customers are always received in a friendly and efficient manner. Ensure that any product information required by the customer is relayed confidently with a view to completing a sale. Encourage up sales by promoting the attributes of other products available. Endeavour to build a relationship with customers so as to ensure that they return in the future. Capture all customer contact details in the Pastel system as these are needed for database mailing lists, i.e. postal address, email address, telephone contact numbers etc. Shop Day to Day procedures Ensure that the shop is clean, tidy and presentable at all times. Ensure that sufficient stock levels are maintained (minimum 8 weeks stock holding). Ensure that all stock items are kept free of dust. Ensure that the stock is packed in a customer friendly manner and merchandised according to prescribed specifications. Ensure that all specials are clearly indicated with the reduced price. Ensure that the shop is open within the prescribed hours. Ensure that customer returns do not clutter the shop and that they are re-routed back to main warehouse on a weekly basis. Ensure that televisions are in a good working condition and that the advertising is optimized to create customer awareness. Conduct regular product demonstrations to enhance customer awareness of our products. Administration Responsibilities Assume responsibility for all stock and shop assets. Ensure that Pastel xe2x80x9cPoint of Salexe2x80x9d is utilized for all invoices and credit notes. Ensure that the till receipts balance 100% to sales daily. Ensure that all banking is performed on a daily basis. Ensure that the approved amount of float is kept in the till at any given time. Ensure that copies of all invoices and credit notes are filed correctly. Ensure that all method of payment details is clearly indicated on the invoice or credit note. Prepare daily random spot stock checks versus Pastel and communicate any discrepancies immediately. Ensure that there is no rolling of Company funds, i.e. no shop staff member may use Company money for personal usage at any given stage.
