Assistant General Manager - Fine Dining Restaurants Location: Johannesburg, Pretoria & Greater Gauteng Industry: Hospitality | Fine Dining | Restaurant Operations About the Role We are seeking a driven and service-focused Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of high-end, fine-dining restaurants across Gauteng . This role is ideal for a strong hospitality professional ready to step into senior leadership, with a passion for exceptional service, team development and operational excellence. ? Key Responsibilities o Support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations o Ensure exceptional guest experiences aligned with fine-dining standards o Lead, motivate and supervise front- and back-of-house teams o Assist with staff training, performance management and scheduling o Maintain service quality, SOPs and brand standards at all times o Support stock control, ordering, cost management and reporting o Handle guest feedback and operational issues professionally o Ensure compliance with health; safety and hygiene regulations o Step into the General Manager role when required ? Requirements o Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Senior Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager o Fine-dining experience is highly advantageous o Strong understanding of service excellence and luxury hospitality standards o Good financial awareness (stock control, GP, basic budgets) o Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills o Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment o Willingness to work shifts; weekends and public holidays o Valid driver's licence and ability to travel within Gauteng ?
