As an Assistant Laboratory Manager in Haematology, you play a key role in supporting the daily operations of a dynamic and high-performing laboratory. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership environment--balancing technical oversight, team development, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the Laboratory Manager to ensure that systems, processes, and people are aligned to deliver exceptional service. Role Requirements





To be considered for this role, you must hold:


a National Diploma in Medical Technology (Haematology or Clinical Pathology) be registered with the HPCSA as a Medical Technologist.

These qualifications ensure that you are equipped with the technical expertise and professional standing to lead confidently in a specialised laboratory environment. We are looking for candidates with at least three years of experience in a pathology laboratory, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role. This experience provides the foundation to support both the technical and human aspects of laboratory operations.


Skills Requirements





This role requires a well-rounded skill set. You must be able to communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans, use computer systems effectively, and demonstrate financial acumen to support budgeting and resource allocation. Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to engage and motivate your team.
