Role Overview

We are seeking a highly competent

Assistant Financial Accountant

with

strong, hands-on experience in creditors, cash book, and general accounting functions

. This role is suited to a detail-driven accounting professional who is comfortable working with

high transaction volumes

, strict deadlines, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

Full

creditors function

: supplier reconciliations, invoice processing, payment runs, and query resolution

Cash book management

: daily processing, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring

Debtors support

: allocations, reconciliations, and follow-ups as required Monthly

general ledger reconciliations

and supporting schedules Assist with

month-end close

, journals, and management reports Ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal financial controls Liaise with suppliers, internal departments, and external stakeholders

Requirements

Accounting qualification or studying towards one (Diploma / Degree in Accounting or Finance)

Proven experience handling high-volume creditors and cash books

Solid understanding of

general accounting principles

Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail Experience with accounting systems (e.g. Pastel, Sage, SAP, or similar) Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
