Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

Generate sales by calling prospects/clients and key account management.
Responsible for Business development through submission of tenders and quotes, present to potential clients, and establish and maintain strategic partnerships.
Identify new funding opportunities and client training needs.
Identify opportunities with SETAs and other funding bodies.
Develop high-quality proposals.
Follow up on proposals to ensure successful transactions.
Respond to individual client requests for programmes.
Maintain a pipeline of prospective transactions.
Maintain a register of closed transactions, strategic partnerships and contracts.
Achieve an annual sales target.
Coordinate handover sheets of inhouse programme coordinators .

Build a strong network of decision-makers in public and corporate enterprises, specifically in agriculture, agri-business, mining, SMMEs and public sectors.
Build effective relationships with faculty (part-time and full-time) programme delegates and other key stakeholders internal and external to the university.
Liaise with Kovsie Phahamisa Academy.
Responsible for Institutional Forum representation.
Responsible for the management of the Executive Education Programme budget and expenditure.
Approve financial transactions related to Executive Education Programme.
Compile budgets for new and customised programmes.
Compile project costings.
Compile annual budgets as requested by the Kovsie Phahamisa Academy and the EMS faculty management.
Determine and agree on the margin of each programme, with the line manager.
Responsible for contract management (negotiate terms, setup, approval, and signature).
Compile vendor applications to register as supplier with clients.
Conceptualise and design new programme offerings with stakeholders.
Customise / develop scoping and client/SME engagement.
Identify content developers and brief content developers on content of programmes.
Develop and maintain quality assurance processes with regard to content development, delivery of
programmes, assessment, moderation and evaluation of SLPs, and certification.
Oversee the development of programme work plans, roll out and programme logistics.
Responsible for client success from pre- to post-delivery.
Responsible for new programme accreditations.
Source lecturers that could facilitate short learning programmes.
Identify and invite guest speakers.
Oversee student discipline issues.
Oversee development of SLPs on Blackboard.
Responsible for effective management of programme coordinators to ensure the successful implementation and management of SLPs both to the corporate sector and the public sector.
Lead Executive Education Programme staff meetings.
Responsible for line management functions such as leave planning/approval and performance management.

Inherent requirements:

MBA or masters in business related programme,
A minimum of four (4) years relevant experience in a sales environment in a business school/higher education environment.
Proven experience in building and maintaining strategic networks.
Must be willing to travel regularly.

Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation.
Proven management experience in a business school/ higher education environment.
A deep understanding of the short learning programme environment.
Analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail.
