Assistant Director Assets and Fleet Management
12 month Fix Term Contract Position Based in Uitenhage - Eastern Cape Salary Package R581 022.48 per annum capped inclusive of 37% benefits Our client from the Public sector requires an experienced Asset Manager for a fixed term 12 month contract.
In-depth knowledge of Asset Management, Supply Chain Management, Treasury practice and instruction notes. Treasury Regulations, Public Service Act, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act. Public Finance Management Act, CET Act, Financial Delegations and Risk Management. Sound written and verbal communication. Good planning and organising skills. Computer literacy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Track record in preparation and management of operational plan, business plans and budgeting. Ability to implement internal systems and control to ensure sound asset management. Duties:
Develop and implement asset management policies in line with relevant legislation.
Oversee all recording, transfers of assets and oversee the administration of acquisition and disposal.
Review the asset management register, electronic filing system and manual register to ensure that it is always up to date.
Ensure and monitor the asset count, verifications and office inspections of all assets and asset storerooms supervision and performance management of the asset management section. Requirements:
National Senior Certificate, an NQF 6 (National Diploma) qualification in Financial Management/Accounting/Logistic Management as recognised by SAQA.
3 to 5 years Experience at Supervisory level in Asset Management or Finance Experience within Public Asset Management environment
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office xe2x80x93 Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
A valid driverxe2x80x99s licence.
Willingness to travel extensively Job Type: Temporary
