Job Title:

Assembly Mechanical Repairman

Location:

Gqeberha

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspecting vehicles and trucks to identify mechanical problems and basic electrical problems.

Performing repairs on engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, and other components, and replacing worn parts.

Performing routine maintenance checks and servicing on vehicles and trucks.

Overhauls, repairs, and maintains heavy equipment/components, which include trucks

Comply with all rules, policies, procedures, and Human Resources related matters, and conduct oneself following company rules, comply with Management requirements, and complete other temporary work arranged by the leader outside normal production in a timeous manner and with instructions given by Superiors. Be willing to work outside normal working hours when required to.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Matric/ Grade 12, NQF4

3-5 years of work experience in the Automotive industry

Relevant experience and qualification

COMPETENCIES:

Comprehensive understanding of automotive mechanical systems and the various vehicle systems

Technical knowledge of different vehicle makes and models

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair procedures

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

Expertise in hand tools and power tools

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Attention to detail and accuracy

Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Able to work independently in a team

Good listening and communication skills

Good time management skills
