INTRODUCTION:

Komatsu is seeking an experienced Millwright Artisan to join their dynamic team in Mafube. The preferred candidate should have at least 3 years of post-trade experience on heavy earthmoving equipment within the mining industry and a relevant Millwright Trade certificate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Millwright Trade Certificate.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 Years' experience on related earth-moving equipment.
• Must have experience working in mining environment
• Experience in servicing or maintaining 860 and 960 dump trucks.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Exposure to earth-moving machinery
• Have good troubleshooting on machines & familiar with standard tool requirements
• Computer literate
• Good understanding of maintenance philosophy
• Good communication and inter personal skills
• Valid driver's license.

Job Specification Summary:

• Remains up to date with health and safety procedures.
• Participates in planning of health and safety events and campaigns, taking into account the planning of work output. Conducts hazard identification and risk assessment.
• Implement the Komatsu Way 5S sorting, organizing, ordering, and training.
• Adheres to SHE policies and procedures.
• Complies with and instructs colleagues in the wearing of protective gear and clothing.
• Participates in workplace safety events.
• Stay informed about emergency first aid kits/fire extinguishers.
• Operates any vehicles (trucks, cars) within safety standards and procedures, even when not supervised.
• Checks that the safety signs and signals are in place.
• Implements safety awareness in all activities.
• Reports hazardous situations, incidents, or accidents.
• Provided feedback on the effectiveness of safety events.
• Reports equipment that is not in good working order.
• Reports on vehicle usage and incidents.
• Plans for health h check and inspection of equipment.
• Informs the leadership of the work steps and technical issues.
