Artisan: Millwright
Job Description
Required:
1. Grade 12 / Matric
2. N3 Trade tested
3. 3 Years + experience in an FMCG environment in Millwright / Mechanical role
4. Must be able to attend to all mechanical breakdowns
Experience and duties:
1. Minimise machine downtime.
2. Complete all assigned job cards timeously.
3. Identify any potential mechanical plant improvements.
4. Conduct mechanical maintenance and servicing on machines
5. Identify mechanical hazards and repair as soon as possible.
6. Order mechanicals spares and consumables.
7. Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and standards.
8. Wear the required PPE all the time.
9. Ensure the right safety equipment is available and use it in a safely at all times
10. Accountable for all safety equipment issued.
11. Report all safety hazards, accidents and incidents to relevant parties
12. Ensure that all Safety Guards, and Safety Devices are fitted and working
13. Ensure alignment of all work process to the required quality standards
14. Proactively identify continual improvement strategies
15. Action agreed quality initiatives
16. Implement corrective actions identified within specified time.
