To support all group applications, including user access and issue resolution, within agreed SLAs. Travel may be required, at times, to branches in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Nelspruit, and Polokwane.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE:

• Relevant Tertiary Information Technology or related qualification
• B qualification in IT
• 3-5 years experience in Application Support
• Proven experience in Application Support, SQL, XML, Azure, IIS, SLAs
• Knowledge and working experience of Microsoft SQL Server (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
• Knowledge and working experience of Crystal Reports
• Knowledge of Sage X3, Sage 300 People (advantage)
• Experience in software testing
• Working knowledge of different operating systems and Internet technologies
• Experience working on projects within the Software Development Life Cycle
• Incident management system knowledge
• Change management experience
• Exposure to vendor engagement
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in cloud solutions

• Possessing knowledge of operating systems, devices, applications, and software
• Ensuring effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications.
• Keep all call tickets updated as work progresses each day.
• Resolve calls logged by users for queries, errors and other problems experienced on the system.
• Report trending issues to Application lead.
• Establishing the root causes of application errors and escalating serious concerns to the Senior Engineer/Application Support Lead.
