This role is responsible for determining the client requirements for decision solutions across the full range of the Business Lines analytics solutions, ensuring the relationship with the client is productive, professional and mutually beneficial.

The Analytics Consulting team is responsible for proposal development, analytics road maps, and selling analytics services into client engagements. The role is not revenue responsible but is the primary driver of new analytics business for the Business Lines Analytics team.

ANALYTICAL CONSULTING CAPABILITY (60%)

  • Engage with clients, to identify problems and define, design and deliver analytics solutions.
  • Ability to work on research and development projects and develop innovative analytical solutions and methodologies.
  • Gathers data and information in a structured and consistent manner to meet project objectives.
  • Machine Learning mold building skills
  • Optimizing codes for ML
  • Building packages for ML
  • Write advanced code for ML algorithms
  • Databricks knowledge
  • Azure Cloud knowledge
  • Setting up and/or optimizing Databricks
  • Working with data and creating features from raw data
  • Support the Global Consultancy Practice Team in conducting business reviews to define customer requirements.
  • Present proposals to clients for analytics solutions, including recommendations.
  • Define and design analytics solutions for new business and customer management, based on the Business Lines best practice solutions.
  • Provide consultancy on potential broader strategies.
  • Regularly presents to clients to ensure they understand the functionality and benefits of Business Lines analytics solutions in solving business problems.
  • Effectively communicate solutions and business benefits to the client.
  • Always displays a confident and professional manner
  • Identification of broad business issues when in discussion with clients which can be resolved with the use of the Business Lines analytics solutions.
  • Seek out opportunities that help grow the business.
  • Knowledge of Analytical techniques and methodologies across credit risk, fraud and marketing (appropriate to the Business Line)
  • Knowledge of Experian's range of analytical products and services
  • Ability to identify business problems that can be solved using a combination of data and analytics and translate this into compelling propositions for our clients
PROJECT MANAGEMENT (10%)
  • Develop sound project proposals indicating client needs, consultant deliverables, and applicable fees
  • Work closely with all elements of Experian expert teams (e.g. Project Managers, Designers, Consultants, Senior Consultants, Analysts and Business Development Managers) to ensure seamless delivery of projects
PRE-SALES AND SALES SUPPORT (15%)
  • Support the conversion of major sales prospects, with increased emphasis on winning business from customers not presently serviced by Experian.
  • Identifies the opportunities to deliver small to medium sized analytics solutions and consultancy projects to clients.
  • Conduct feasibility studies in support of sales activities.
  • Contribute to winning new business from new and existing customers - nurture and enhance existing client relationships; identify and progress opportunities to enhance existing solutions and cross sell other products and services.
  • Specify initial product/service requirements for new clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts.
  • Takes responsibility to produce proposals.
PERSONAL AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT (15%)
  • Improve personal and professional competencies and business knowledge through continual learning.
  • Own and action personal development plan.
  • Keeps abreast of developments in the regulatory and compliance environment which affects our use of data and analytics
  • Extend knowledge of Experian analytics solutions, products, services, clients and business processes.
  • Extend VM and industry knowledge.
  • Seek feedback to improve personal performance.
  • Seeks to develop an effective and wide network of business contacts.
  • Displays energy and enthusiasm for the ongoing success of the team.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences and seminars.
  • Ensure that potential learning from each project is maximised.
  • Regularly participate in webinars and knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Shared targets with Team Leader/Senior Consultants/Global Consultants to transfer knowledge.
  • Mentoring and training of analysts in ML, Databricks or Azure Cloud environment
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent standard, with a high mathematical content e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Physical Sciences.
  • Good understanding of key market sectors.
  • Understanding of Experian analytics solutions capabilities, specific limitations and functions so that consultant can apply the solution.
7-10 years experience
