Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Engage in comprehensive research that encompasses technical, social, environmental, institutional, financial, and economic dimensions, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative
• Undertake detailed literature reviews to summarize, synthesize, and add value to the information gathered, enhancing the depth and breadth of
• Create clear, detailed reports and other documentation tailored for clients and partners, ensuring information is accessible and actionable.
• Develop presentations that succinctly communicate key findings, project outcomes, and methodologies to diverse
• Offer versatile support across various projects, including those beyond the specialist area, by providing research, analysis, and writing services as
• Facilitate project coordination efforts, including logistics and administration, to ensure efficient project execution.
• Active participation in client meetings, offering insights and maintaining strong client relationships through effective
• Take ownership of, and demonstrating initiative in, the development and completion of project components and
• Employ a structured approach to analysis and deliverable development, ensuring outputs are of the highest quality and impact.
• Play an active role in the identification of new business opportunities and the development of proposals to expand the organization's portfolio.

Key qualification, skills and attributes:
Required:

• A master's degree in an appropriate field including (but not limited to) Town and Regional Planning, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Actuarial studies, Finance, International Relations, Law, Development Studies, Public Policy or Politics
• 1-3 years of working in consultancy, advisory firm, development organization, think-tank or relevant corporate services environment
• Must be eligible to live and work in South Africa

Advantageous:

• Experience of working in Sub-Saharan Africa and other countries in the Global South;
• Foreign language proficiency in French or Portuguese
• A keen interest in or previous exposure to working across economic, institutional and environmental sectors
• Experience with financial/economic analysis of infrastructure projects

• Equipped with robust research skills, including an understanding of various research methodologies and proper citation.
• Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines within allocated timeframes and budgets.
