Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Aluminium & Glass Sales Rep/ Estimator

with 8+ years of experience in the facade, glazing, and aluminium industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for aluminium and glass projects, analyzing project specifications, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation & Costing:

Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for aluminium and glass works, including curtain walls, windows, doors, and structural glazing. Perform quantity take-offs and material cost analysis. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Develop cost-effective solutions to meet client requirements and budget constraints.

Proposal & Tendering:

Prepare and submit quotations and bid proposals within deadlines. Work closely with sales and project teams to develop competitive bids. Ensure all tenders comply with company pricing structures and profit margins.

Technical & Commercial Coordination:

Assist in contract negotiation and value engineering exercises. Work with the design team to optimize solutions that balance cost and performance. Liaise with project managers, procurement teams, and clients to finalize project scope and budget.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain records of estimates, bid documents, and project costs. Provide detailed reports on estimated vs. actual project costs and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

Experience:

8+ years in aluminium, glass, facade, or glazing estimation.

Education:

Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in

AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation software

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on large-scale commercial or high-rise facade projects. Familiarity with structural calculations and thermal performance analysis.

Pay: R18000,00 - R25000,00 per month
