This leading English-medium South African public boys school has a vacancy for a full-time, permanent
Advancement Manager.
This is a School Governing Body (SGB) position with effect from 1 January 2026.The key focus of this role is to build sustainable funding relationships that enhance the school's educational, extracurricular, and infrastructure development programs, working closely with senior leadership, marketing, and community stakeholders. The successful incumbent should have an understanding of the school's ethos, or association with an institution of similar character, which would be an advantage.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Fundraising, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in fundraising, business development, or sponsorship management (preferably in an educational or non-profit environment). Proven record of securing and managing sponsorships and corporate partnerships. Strong financial acumen, negotiation, and contract management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office suite.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure financial and in-kind support for the school from individuals, alumni, corporations, foundations, and other partners, will include:
