Qualifications:
3-Year Diploma in Maintenance Planning / Materials Resource Planning
OR
BTech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience & Knowledge:
2-4 years' experience in repair and maintenance planning
Familiarity with Komatsu products or heavy earthmoving equipment (preferred)
Experience with automated scheduling tools in an engineering environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced level)
Working knowledge of Maintenance and/or MRP systems
Exposure to EQPCARE
Understanding of ISO 9001/2008 and Occupational Health & Safety standards
Job Responsibilities:
Plans components exchange and incorporates into overall plan
Planning of conditions-based monitoring ("what if" scenario's) and running scenarios to mitigate risk
Maintains and updates the plan
Assumes responsibility for the backup and update of all planning systems and manual data files
Provides input and attends Hansei meetings and proposes & implements initiatives for Reman
Develops and maintains a customer component forecast data base
Liaising with KLTD or other global suppliers with regard to the sourcing of components
Monitor & Control Flags deviations from plan and communicates with Management timeously
Monitors costs and efficiencies
Following-up on deadlines
Report Develops and disseminates templates for use by technical lines of business in order to streamline their work.
Transfers planning and scheduling skills and knowledge to technical lines of business
Prints reports on metrics, costs, efficiencies, downtime and trends for parts and components exchange
Analyses report information, correlates information with other systems, (such as SAP and Komtrax) in order to propose changes/continuous improvement initiatives
In conjunction with Reman management, plans and forecasts remanufactured components and cores
Executes and updates plans for remanufactured components and cores
Liaising with KLTD or other global suppliers with regard to the sourcing of components
Maintains Core Tracker data base
Liaises with internal stakeholders in the process (PDC, Branches, Technical
Management, Finance, etc.)
Monitor & Control Monitors and checks system data for integrity purposes
Report Maintains up-to-date plan
Reports problems and issues immediately
