Overview

Responsible for the movement of merchandise and/or material in/out of the country in compliance with state and local regulations. Monitors and completes paperwork and monetary transactions associated with international distribution in a timely manner.

Duties

Keep an up to date pricelist Draw up pro forma invoices and sales contracts Load orders onto system Follow up on stock availability with the factory Liase with Supply Chain on availability of other products Arrange transportation of goods with transporters Supply/obtain the load number Provide the transporter with a commercial invoice Arrange payment for the transporter (include clearances at border) Queries and investigation relating to clients orders Monitor export shipments from order to arrival at destination Verification / compilation of export documentation Reconciling and preparing payment for freight companies

SEA FREIGHT:

Arrange for export documentation Co-ordinate labels and bags Arrange for the Sasolburg plant to send product to the port Book vessel for shipment Provide instructions for packaging and shipping Arrange with inspectors to inspect the product quality and that it is up to standard Follow up on payments due Ensure that all info on the the bill of loading is correct
