Duties/Pligte
Diary management and scheduling of patient appointments (three doctors and four nurse practitioners).
Rescheduling and following up on patient appointments.
Answering incoming calls.
General reception (e.g. scheduling car hire / flights).
Managing patient flow.
Checking in and checking out medication for patients.
Electronic registration of patients.
Daily communication with medical aids.
Scanning and filing patient documents.
Cash and credit card handling.
Knowledge of billing.
Recordkeeping and reporting according to guidelines.
Communication with external service providers.
Managing the reception area.
Maintaining effective patient service.
Maintaining confidentiality of all personnel and patients.
Mentoring medical reception interns.
Participating in institutional activities applicable to service delivery.
Assisting with the development of applicable innovative processes to improve on continuous service delivery.

Skandering en liassering van pasiente se dokumente.
Hantering van kontant en kredietkaartbetalings.
Kennis van fakturering.
Rekordhouding en verslagdoening volgens riglyne.
Kommunikasie met eksterne diensverskaffers.
Instandhouding van die ontvangsarea.
Onderhou effektiewe pasiente diens.
Onderhou konfidensialiteit van alle personeel en pasiente.
Mentorskap aan alle mediese interns.
Deelname aan institusionele aktiwiteite wat toepaslik is op dienslewering.
Hulpverlening met die ontwikkeling van toepaslike innoverende en beroepspesifieke prosesse om dienslewering voordurend te verbeter.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
Grade 12.
Two years' experience in a medical reception environment.
Computer literacy, including in MS Office.
A valid drivers' licence.
Problem solving skills.
Effective and accurate data capturing skills.
Punctual and reliable.
Proven planning, organising and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to function effectively within a team.
The ability to function effectively under pressure.
Strong disposition toward client service in a values driven team.
Willingness to work across both the Tygerberg and Stellenbosch campuses.
Graad 12.
Twee jaar se ervaring in `n mediese ontvangsomgewing.
Rekenaarvaardig, insluitend in MS Office.

Other relevant post-school qualifications.
