The South African Medical Research Council seeks to appoint an Administration Officer in the Transformation Office. This role is to provide administrative services to support efficient and effective implementation of the programmes and projects of the Transformation Office.
Key Responsibility Areas will include the following:
Plan, coordinate and provide logistical support for Transformation Office events and activities such as workshops, consultations and awareness sessions across SAMRC campuses.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes through the SAMRC's JDE system, including creating requisitions, following up on purchase orders and liaising with Supply Chain Management and service providers.
Coordinate travel logistics, venue bookings, catering and workshop materials to ensure seamless execution of activities.
Assist in maintaining accurate records and databases related to transformation programmes, employee participation and supplier engagements.
Prepare meeting documentation, take minutes and ensure proper filing and distribution of records.
Support communication with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure timely follow-up on deliverables.
Assist with monitoring progress on projects, updating tracking tools and supporting reporting processes of the Transformation Office.
Assist with data entry and processing for key databases of the Transformation Office.

Job Requirements
Higher Certificate (NQF 5) in Office/Business Administration or related field.
1-2 years of office administration experience.
Proficient computer skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication skills.
Advantageous
National Diploma in Office/Business Administration related field.
1-2 years of office administration, preferably in a healthcare or research environment.
Experience supporting programmes related to diversity, inclusion, transformation or wellness.
Proven ability to manage multiple administrative and logistical priorities in a multi-campus organisation.
