Job Purpose
Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render general administrative support functions to the Office of the Head Official.
Minimum Requirements
Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification)
Recommendation
Relevant experience working in a demanding environment.
Key Performance Areas
Administer and register all incoming and outgoing correspondence, including handling of all enquiries for the Head of Department; Administer the electronic tracking system for the Head of Department, including follow-up of pending matters and handling of tracker-related enquiries; Provide general administrative support to the office of the Head of Department; Assist with the management of the Main Boardroom for the Head of Department.
Competencies
A good understanding of the following:
Document tracking system; Policies and procedures.
Skills needed:
General administration; MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint);
Basic written and communication; Ability to function under pressure in a dynamic environment; Good interpersonal and time management.
Remuneration
R 228 321- R 268 950 per annum (Salary Level 5)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
