Accounts Payable Clerk (fixed Term Contract)
Job Description
A well established end-to-end wholesale freight forwarder is is seeking a suitable candidate for Accounts Payable Clerk position for a 6-month contractual period. The position is based in in Bryanston, Johannesberg.The AP Clerk will be focussed solely on Intercompany invoices and reconciliation.It is very important that the individual has significant intercompany experience.Purpose of RoleTo ensure the Intercompany accounts for US, Canada, UK and Netherlands are reconciled, all invoices processed, and payment settlements initiated.Main accountabilities include:
- Reconciling Intercompany accounts, verifying and investigating discrepancies
- Performing day to day financial transactions related to Intercompany
- Reporting the status of Intercompany accounts and discrepancies identified weekly to the regional Heads of Finance
- Communicating all queries with the relevant regions and stakeholders timely
- Prepare settlement details for the Finance Manager and Head of Finance to action
- Working closely as an accountability partner for the operations teams
- Structuring work hours in a manner that will ensure work continuity factoring in the different global time zones of the regions/offices being supported
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting
- Experience with TMFF and SUN accounting system
