Job Description

Purpose of the Role: The Accounts Clerk plays an important part in ensuring that financial transactions are accurate, timely, and well-documented, helping to keep operations running smoothly while working closely with the Assistant Finance Manager and other departments.
Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To

  • Oversee daily finance checks including F&B voids, duty meals, and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and post daily revenue and receipts to Pastel
  • Compile daily revenue reports for management review
  • Assist with purchasing invoice processing on the inventory system
  • Support accounts payable processes
  • Reconcile credit cards daily and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Conduct daily F&B audits and prepare weekly flash food cost reports
  • Journal sundry supplier invoices to Pastel
  • Receive and process orders accurately
  • Manage petty cash transactions in line with policy
Criteria
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hotel finance or hospitality accounts role
  • Grade 12 with accounting as a subject
  • Proficiency in Opera PMS and Pastel
  • Familiarity with inventory or purchasing systems is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Well-organised, able to manage deadlines, and thrive under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
