Position: Accounts Assistant/Junior Bookkeeper Description: Our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant / Junior bookkeeper with expertise and technical knowledge of all areas impacting accounting. Qualifications: Relevant qualification in Bookkeeping or Accounting Skills and Competencies Required: Minimum 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in similar role Reliable, accurate and consistent Deadline driven Excellent numerical skills Excellent organisational skills Problem solving skills Technical knowledge of all areas of accounting Excellent with numbers and spreadsheets Strong attention to detail Multitasking skills Summary of Responsibilities: Assist the accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording of transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits and fact-checking. The primary responsibility will be to manage the operations of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable. Capturing of data onto Job-sys and Pastel, Cashbook processing for receipts and payments. Assist with stock functions and check stock allocations. Assist the financial manager with other finance related tasks as needed. The Accounts Assistant / Jnr Bookkeeper will be expected to work effectively and diligently across and with the operational team to ensure the achievement of the Companyxe2x80x99s objectives. Accounts Receivable xe2x80x93 Full function Accounts Payable - Full function Prepare Monthly A/R balances & A/P Purchase age analysis. Process and reconcile Bank accounts, Petty Cash, Credit Card Accounts. Load payments online. Maintain fixed asset register. Capturing month end stock counts / assist with stock count process. Work with current office admin assistant on accounts and customers to ensure proper and timely collections of receivables. Work with current office admin assistant to ensure invoices are correctly posted and allocated. General assistance to the Financial Manager On Offer: +-R15 000 (depending on experience, qualifications, and skillset) Other benefits: Company laptop 18 days leave 13th cheque, payable in December 2024, subject to both the company and employees hitting their KPIs.
