Kloof. A Travel and Tourism agency seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. The Junior accounts assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with established accounting procedures. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in recording day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable entries
• Maintain and update general ledger entries accurately and timely
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents
• Process invoices, credit notes, payments, and ensure timely settlement of supplier invoices
• Closing vouchers and creating voucher reports
• Prepare and send invoices to clients/customers and follow up on outstanding payments
• Handling account queries
• Loading new agents on tour plan
• Enter financial data into tour plan with a high level of accuracy
• Verify and cross-reference financial information to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Organize and maintain financial records
• Ensure that all documents are filed in a systematic and easily retrievable manner
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and respond to internal inquiries related to financial transactions
• Responding to emails timeously

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate / Grade 12
• Tertiary education in Finance (advantageous)
• Finance experience (advantageous)
• Fluent in English
• Competent in MS Excel and Outlook
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
