Accountant (statutory Reporting)
Job Description

My client is looking for a technically strong Financial Accountant to take ownership of statutory reporting, financial statements, and compliance processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified CA(SA) with at least one year of post-articles experience to grow within a high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Compile monthly and quarterly group management packs.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and tax reporting requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 16, and apply technical expertise effectively.
- Identify and implement process improvements in reporting and compliance frameworks.
- CA(SA)
- Minimum of 1 year post-articles experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience preparing financial statements.
- Proficient in IFRS
- Experience in the FMCG or Retail industry is highly advantageous.
