We are looking to recruit an Account Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our Marketing Team. This role will be based in Cape Town and report to the Marketing Operations Manager.
Job description
Job purpose:
To efficiently manage and oversee several advertising accounts, ensuring the accurate and timely flow and execution of all work designated from brief to in-store execution.
Job Objectives:
Manage the Briefing process Ensuring accurate information is provided on the Brief;
Obtain cost from printer and get it approved by the client before briefing in the job
Ensure synergies with media, production and dispatch with regard to all activity
Create timing plans and communicate to all relevant people
Opening of job-bagsAccurate allocation of job number
Accurate and detailed information filled on brief
Print/media/creative specifications
To ensure deadlines are met
Managing the Sourcing of Samples and ReferencesResponsible for sourcing of samples/references for own work as well as assist on other promotions
Follow-up with category teams for outstanding samples
To conduct Library research
Book, brief and coordinate photography if necessary
Manage creative work-flow process to deadlinesTime allocation in studio
Ensure efficient Sign-off
To support creative knowledge of what clients requires
Facilitate sign-off process to deadlinesAccurate interpretation of changes
Time allocation for process
Send off to print
Ensure work is backed up
Communicate to Display department what and when artwork must be dispatched
Ongoing follow to ensure elements have arrived and send out notifications
Receive and communicate accurate updates of informationUpdate Job Bag cover sheet and content
Update status report daily
Attend daily status meeting
Write minutes
Communicate with Client, creative, media and production teams continuously
Other Functions :Foster excellent relationships with creative teams, all external partners and all disciplines within BTB, based on our values

Minimum requirements
Job related knowledge:
Knowledge of advertising and marketing concepts and principles
Knowledge and understanding of client briefs and its application
Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Education:
Essential: Matric or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience
Desirable: Diploma/degree in advertising / marketing
Must have at least 5 years' experience in an Advertising Agency in a Account Manager / Client Service role
