Job Summary

YOGA & PILATES INSTRUCTOR - with supervisory experience

Riyadh - Saudi Arabia (KSA)

Starting Date: 01 February 2024 / Visa Pending (may take up to 3 months to clear)

Reports to: Spa Director

Contract Period: 1-year contract with option to renew

JOB OVERVIEW:

Primary responsibility of the Y&P Instructor is ensuring that all users are safe to participate.

Promote the benefits of Yoga & Pilates and overall general health benefits of exercise; teach classes (group & private) for a range of clients, create a welcome environment, putting clients at ease;

Check the area for safety and report any risks; engage class participants and encourage client retention.

Understand client's goals and build rapport; teach classes of mixed ability, catering for varying needs within a class offering adaptations and progressions as well as modifications where necessary; tailoring classes to suit different needs, abilities, and goals.

They must possess excellent customer services skills in order to provide the highest quality environment and instruction that will meet the needs of our guests in the area of health and exercise

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:

• Monday - Saturday 10:00 - 22:00
• 8-hour standard shift per day
• 1 day off per week
• 30 days annual paid leave (after 1 year completed service)

PACKAGE POTENTIAL & COMPANY BENEFITS:

• 5,000 - 6,000 Saudi Riyal per month (neg based on desired skills & experience)
• Commission (Retail & Services) earned after 6 months of employment at manager's discretion based on performance

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: * Relevant Certification obtained from an accredited Fitness Training facility

• Knowledge of all Yoga, Pilates, Fitness and Personal Training services available and offered by the spa
• Cruise Ship employment experience is highly beneficial
• Confident command of the English Language
• Cruise Ship or other international employment experience beneficial
• a MINIMUM of 5 years experience working in a Gym and or Private Practice of which at least 3 years must be focused on Yoga & or Pilates
• a MINIMUM of 1 year in a supervisory / managerial role
• Exceptionally groomed and highly presentable
• Fit and healthy - you are an example to our guests
• Provide legible communication

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Assist with any supervisory tasks assigned to you where operationally required
• Ability to focus attention on guests needs, remaining calm and courteous
• Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the spa
• Ability to priorities, organize and follow up
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and data
• Ability to perform a minimum of six session per shift (private or group)
• Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform sessions with total focus on safety, attention and timeliness.
• Provide consistent professional class and personal training sessions in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Properly care for equipment and maintain fitness equipment.
• Maintain a clean, well?organized and stocked fitness area.
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all fitness offerings while educating and training guests in these areas.
• Perform administrative duties in a complete, organized and accurate manner.
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa or fitness area that require attention.
• Handle guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
• Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
• Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
• Attend relevant marketing, budgeting and strategy meetings for the department

• Oversee the daily operations of the fitness department
