Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced freelance Website Developer and Designer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for building, designing, and maintaining a professional, user-friendly, and visually appealing website. They will play a key role in shaping the digital experience for our clients and partners.
The ideal candidate combines strong design sensibility with solid front-end development skills, attention to user experience (UX), and a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with marketing, content, and leadership teams to understand business goals and translate them into functional, engaging web experiences. Design and develop responsive websites optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop. Deliver high-quality UI/UX aligned with brand identity, accessibility standards, and user needs. Implement and customize content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Shopify) for easy content updates. Apply on-page SEO best practices to improve visibility and ranking. Monitor and analyze website performance (e.g., speed, uptime, user behavior) and recommend improvements. Maintain and update the website regularly with new features, security patches, and content changes. Ensure compliance with current web standards, including accessibility (WCAG), privacy (GDPR), and security protocols. Provide technical support or troubleshooting for website-related issues. Document workflows, systems, or updates as needed for internal use.

Required Skills and Qualifications

3+ years of experience in website development and design (portfolio required). Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript; back-end basics in PHP or Node.js preferred. Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Vue.js, or Next.js (bonus if experience includes animation/microinteractions). Hands-on experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress (Elementor, Gutenberg), Webflow, or Shopify. Skilled in modern design tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Strong understanding of responsive and accessible design. Working knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics/GA4, and related performance tools. Experience with site optimization tools (e.g., GTmetrix, Lighthouse, WebPageTest). Knowledge of web security best practices (SSL, GDPR, reCAPTCHA, etc.). Highly detail-oriented and capable of working independently with minimal direction. Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a remote team environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

Experience with eCommerce platforms or custom API integrations. Basic knowledge of hosting environments (cPanel, FTP, DNS configuration). Familiarity with version control tools like Git. Animation or motion design experience (CSS/JS or Lottie). Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and implementation.
