Warehouse Controller - Raw Material / Helical
Pietermaritzburg
Responsible for overseeing the receiving, storage, and control of raw materials and packaging consumables, ensuring stock accuracy, procedural compliance, and continuous improvement through digital transformation within the warehouse.
Key Performance Areas
- Manage daily warehouse operations for raw materials and packaging consumables
- Oversee receiving, storage, issuing, and control of stock to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Verify and process supplier deliveries and GRNs accurately and on time.
- Identify and escalate stock variances, delivery or quality issues
- Maintain precise inventory records on WMS/SYSPRO and ensure accurate data capture.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and stock takes
- Manage non-moving or obsolete stock and ensure FIFO practices are followed.
- Uphold warehouse safety, housekeeping (5S), and procedural standards.
- Training and developing team members.
- Drive process improvement and digital transformation to enhance efficiency.
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics.
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (advantageous).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehousing environment.
- Supervisory or team-leading experience (advantageous).
- Knowledge of Warehouse management systems, and SYSPRO
- Forklift licence and/or Code 10 driver's licence (advantageous)
