Job Summary
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

Warehouse management

  • Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the companyxe2x80x99s policies and vision.
  • Monitoring of actual stock in the warehouse against the inventory system and safeguarding inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with software system.
  • Setup and control warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilisation.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Comply with local warehousing, material handling, and regional distribution requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements and devising management on needed actions.
  • Responsible for the security of the premises including arranging the opening and locking of warehouse on a daily basis.
  • Establish and monitor the degree of compliance with the requirements of companyxe2x80x99s procedures and relevant clauses of ISO 9001:2008, FEMAS, MHRA, Home Office and the HACCP Plan.
  • General facility and warehouse office management
Employee management
  • Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs of the company.
  • Coaches employees on best practices for managing the inward and outward delivery of goods to achieve on time dispatch of orders, the coordination of drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys.
Group initiative
  • Consult and advise on ongoing group logistic projects and offer expertise as projects develop.
  • Analyse and feedback on global warehousing operations and suggest further improvement initiatives.
Planing and scheduling - Daily/weekly/monthly
  • Receiving and allocating Pick Slips; preparing stock and printing related documents and labels as required.
  • Advising hauliers of daily loads; making bookings; preparing manifests.
  • Scanning warehouse goods received notes and goods out notes.
  • Responsibility for stock batch management and accurate recording of same on system.
  • Contactable relating to queries on phone/email; scheduling collections/deliveries etc.

  • Receiving and unloading loose and palletised goods from delivery vehicles.
  • Processing goods received notes; recording details, inspecting goods, feeding back any damages or concerns.
  • Banding, shrink-wrapping, re-palletising and labelling goods for easy identification.
  • Positioning goods in the warehouse and recording stock locations.
Good out - Daily/weekly/monthly
  • Picking, packing and preparing stock as per instructions and rechecking goods prior to dispatch.
  • Loading loose and palletised goods onto delivery vehicles
  • Checking that correct documents are given to driver with goods and that release notes are signed, and records maintained.
Processing and sampling - Daily/weekly/monthly
  • Repacking; blending, decanting, sampling, scoop and weighing stock.
  • Scheduling sample collections and dispatches
  • Receiving and checking samples, re-packing and re-labelling as directed .
General - Daily/weekly/monthly on request
  • General maintenance/housekeeping of warehouse, stores and equipment
  • Performing stock cycle counts and reconciling to system records.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:
  • B-Degree in Logistics
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
  • Forklift (Counterbalance and VNA) driving experience
  • Experience in imports and exports
  • Safety management and equipment maintenance
  • Vigilance, judgement and surveillance skills
  • Computer literate and an intermediate user of MS Office suite: Excel, Share Point, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work with and support a team
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to listen
  • Understand the value of giving and receiving feedback, both positive or negative, in a team context.
