Reviewing and validating times sheets submitted by employees or Supervisors
Entering and updating employee attendance and time-related information into the Company's time and attendance tracking system and payroll
Recording and tracking employee work hours, including regular hours, overtime, and any variations in schedules, such as shift work or remote work
Working off the clock cards - capturing the hours, leave, overtime etc.
Processing share of profit bonuses, deductions PAYE, UIF, skills, provident funds, funeral benefits etc.
Updating the system with employee movements
Looking at variances per division and ensuring that management reviews signs this off
Ensuring that payroll is run within the time frame and deadlines
Month end payroll reconciliation and processing
Ensuring that all weekly wages reports agree to the final month-end payroll
Ensuring that the payments for the various deductions are correct - PAYE, UIF, SDL
Ensuring that provident funds, health benefits, union fees etc. are paid on time
Payroll management
Maintaining accurate HR wage payroll records, letter of employment, signed EEA1 forms, applications to the Provident fund, plus and other payroll-related information
Providing guidance on housekeeping procedures
Ensuring that all payroll-related taxes, deductions, and statutory contributions are accurately calculated, reconciled, and paid on time
Staying up to date with labour laws and regulations to ensure compliance with wage laws
Assisting with the administration of employee benefits, such as healthcare plans, retirement savings accounts, and other employee perks
Addressing employee enquiries or concerns related to their wages, payroll records and resolving any discrepancies that may arise
Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to time and attendance records, collaborating closely with employees and Managers
Minimum Requirements
Matric
A tertiary qualification would be an advantage
8 Years Wage Clerk experience with minimum of +-150 wage employees
Proficient on Outlook, Excel, Word, Sage Payroll, etc.
