VoIP Support Engineer - Durban xe2x80x93 VoIP Support EngineerSummary of roleWe are fast expanding Managed Service Provider supporting health care clients and a variety of businesses in the UK and in Europe.We are seeking a highly-skilled and dedicated VoIP Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting our advanced VoIP solutions, ensuring high-quality voice communication for our clients.This is a dual role where you will also be expected to support our clients providing a friendly and helpful service via phone, email or ticket. You will research and identify solutions to basic software and hardware issues; this includes asking clients targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem.Responsibilities -VOIP Role Design and implement VoIP infrastructure including IP-PBX setups, SIP trunking, and call routing. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VoIP systems, including quality issues, connectivity, and configuration. Collaborate with the network team to optimize the quality of service and bandwidth usage. Analyse existing VoIP networks and computer systems. Adding network users and managing company permissions Implement security measures for VoIP infrastructure to prevent fraud and unauthorized access. Maintain and upgrade VOIP software and hardware. Provide technical support and training to end-users and internal teams. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in the VoIP industry Training staff on network and system protocols.Responsibilities -IT Support Role Ensure that all issues are properly logged onto the Companyxe2x80x99s ticketing system including managing the ticketing system and recording all client issues, this includes identifying each individual issue and raising a ticket accordingly. Ensuring that clients are updated with progress of issue and that clients are advised of any changes or outages, as well as maintaining all client documentation. Follow up with clients to ensure that their IT systems are fully functioning after trouble Regularly review remote monitoring and management dashboard and resolve any issues.Essential requirements and skills Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with VoIP technologies (e.g., SIP, RTP, 3CX, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH). Good understanding of network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, VPNs). Familiarity with VoIP security best practices. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills. Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals Client orientated attitudeDesirable requirements and skills Experience working either for a Managed Service Provider or an IT Support business. Previous experience working in the healthcare industry Experience in remote managing and monitoring tools.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R18,000.00 - R24,000.00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:VoIP: 3 years (Required)
