SHOUT-IT-NOW uses innovative social behaviour change approaches to effectively engage youth and create demand for our health and wellbeing services. We offer a range of health services, currently focused on sexual and reproductive health, via a variety of convenient channels, primarily mobile vans. We also aim to connect youth via referrals and linkages to a range of other health and wellbeing services, including behavioural and livelihoods programs that are offered through partners. Custom technology enables SHOUT-IT-NOW to effectively use real-time data to generate insights and inform our program designxe2x80x94our youth engagement, communications and service delivery strategiesxe2x80x94and to give youth easy access to programs offered by our ecosystem partners. Importantly, we take a client-centered peer-lead approach, involving youth in all aspects of our work. www.shoutitnow.org We are looking for 1 VMMC Team Leader to join our team based within the Sedibeng District, Gauteng. Please note that only applicants who currently reside within the Sedibeng District, Gauteng will be considered. This position reports directly to the VMMC Project Coordinator. The VMMC Team Leader is responsible for leading, monitoring and supervising their team to achieve organisational goals. They motivate, inspire, and maintain a positive environment so that positive communication is promoted, and team synergy is encouraged, ensuring an Umjojo (quality and friendly) experience for clients. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Matric certificate.
  • 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a customer service or healthcare environment.
  • 4 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Experience in Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC).
  • Valid driverxe2x80x99s licence and ability to drive safely and confidently.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Supervise and Lead Team Members:
  • Set and maintain the standard for outstanding service delivery and ownership to be followed by team members onsite.
  • Manage and communicate team membersxe2x80x99 site schedules.
  • Delegate tasks and targets to team members.
  • Advise and lead the team to ensure that targets are achieved.
  • Communicate and monitor the achievement of targets and take corrective action where targets are missed.
  • Monitor and track individual and teamxe2x80x99s achievement of targets and the quality of their delivery.
  • Ensure team members adhere to clock-in and clock-out procedure as per policy.
  • Oversee the setting-up and closing-down of site.
  • Participate in setting, articulating and adjusting of the team goals and activities.
  • Observe team members to ensure that all relevant standard operating procedures are followed accurately.
  • Monitor team members levels of service delivery to clients and ensure that clients are provided with an efficient, friendly and personalized service offering.
  • Resolve complex problems independently and implement appropriate solutions.
2. Site Assistance:
  • Assess daily sites on arrival to ensure the safety and security of clients, team members and company assets.
  • Make proactive and informed decisions to change the site based on the outcome of the assessment.
  • Resolve complex client concerns and problems which cannot be resolved by the team.
  • Conduct investigations into client incidents that could not be resolved by the team and identify solutions proactively and timeously. Ensure these incidents are reported to the relevant manager.
  • Monitor and ensure that sites are well-organized and maintained.
  • Proactively identify and select sites, based on prior learning and experience, in collaboration with the Outreach Officer.
  • Liaise with external partners who are onsite to promote and encourage services and programs, as well as ensure integration of their services with those of Shout-It-Now.
  • Host stakeholders and potential partners when visiting the sites.
  • Recruit new clients at each site by promoting our services.
3. Team/People Management:
  • Coach, guide and motivate team members to improve performance and behaviour.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with team members to monitor their well-being.
  • Review teamwork and make recommendations for improved participation.
  • Provide advanced training and development opportunities to improve team membersxe2x80x99 skills.
  • Initiate and implement employee disciplinary measures.
  • Initiate and implement performance management discussions/reviews and performance measures and monitor progress on individual development plans.
4. Administration and Reporting:
  • Record and report problems experienced with the sites, client issues and investigations.
  • Submit reports when required.
  • Provide recommendations and implement changes to improve, innovate and enhance client engagement and experience.
  • Attend and contribute to solutions and changes in Team Leader meetings.
  • Monitor team membersxe2x80x99 client engagement to ensure they maintain a favorable response time when attending to clients, minimizing any delays in services.
5. Perform any other duties as may be reasonably required. Skills and Competencies:
  • Willingness to travel between local clinics and sites when required.
