Job Description

We are seeking the services of a seasoned visual content creator to conceptualise, shoot and edit narrative videos for Jacaranda FM, including, but not limited to weekly vlogs, blogs, online documentaries, music videos, corporate videos and other content, delivering the final product to the required specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Skills:

• Demonstrable proficiency in CS suite.
• Refined visual aesthetic.
• Story boarding and content conceptualization skills.
• Demonstrable experience on Adobe CS, including editing, motion graphics and color correction.
• Minimum 3 years producing and editing high quality video productions.
• Excellent sound skills.
• Excellent camera and lighting skills.
• Substantial digital knowledge and experience, with an understanding of YouTube and visual social media.
• Creative, communicative team player who works well under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task and deliver excellent outcomes at speed.
• Excellent eye for stills and the ability to shoot and process still images.
• Equally comfortable shooting on DSLR or Phone.
• Demonstrable ability to work to brief.
• Trouble shooting skills.

Editorial:

• Service radio stationxe2x80x99s programming and editorial teams IRO video pieces
• Produce compelling, quality visual content that entertains and engages audiences across platforms.
• Conceptualise and create purpose-driven content.
• Conceptualise, shoot and editing Jacaranda FM video promotions.
• Storyboard & script stationxe2x80x99s video content.
• Work to briefs and give input to refine briefs.
• Story boarding, filming, assembling recorded raw material (camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects) and putting into a finished product suitable for broadcasting and publishing online.
• Assembling all raw footage, with audio and camera shots.
• Writing voiceover/commentary where necessary
• Suggesting or selecting music beds/audio beds.
• Final mix.
• Delivery of or publishing the content on necessary platforms in correct format.
• Shooting of stills as required.

Social Media:

• Occasionally assist with visual social media executions.

General

Equipment management and maintenance. * Attend product meetings for department and provide creative input.

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders throughout the production process.

Programming team participation

• Participates as a member of the programming team.
• Contribute positively to the Programming team and station.
• Work Shifts according to Shift Roster.
• Required to work on weekends in accordance to shift roster as required.
• Execute any tasks that may reasonably be expected.
