Summary
Our client, a busy and well-established small animal practice in the southern area of Cape Town, has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join their friendly and professional team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and takes pride in building genuine, long-lasting relationships with clients. As the first point of contact, the receptionist plays a vital role in creating a calm, welcoming experience for both pet owners and their animals, making a steady temperament and excellent people skills essential.
Working hours:
- Practice hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-18:00 | Saturday 09:00-13:00
- Weekdays: 5-hour shifts from 13:00-18:00
- Alternate Thursdays: 08:00-13:00
- Alternate Saturdays: 4-hour shifts
- R10,000 - R15,000 per month, depending on experience and additional skills

- Greet and assist clients with a welcoming smile
- Manage phone calls, appointment scheduling, and follow-ups

- Keep the reception area clean and organised
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, organised, and compassionate in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Client-focused with a professional and friendly approach
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
