Summary

Are you a dedicated and experienced Small Animal Veterinarian looking for a fulfilling opportunity? Look no further! A dynamic and bustling small animal practice seeks a passionate individual to join their team.

Hours: 10-hour day, Monday to Friday, Every second weekend with no After Hours.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 3 years of small animal veterinary experience
• Excellent client communication skills
• Comfortable with consultations, medical workups (including ultrasound), and soft tissue surgery
• Strong commitment to animal welfare
• Willing to go the extra mile

Thriving small animal practice with a diverse caseload and state-of-the-art facilities, including ultrasound, x-ray, full IDEXX suite, and gastroscope. With a supportive team consisting of 2 receptionists, 1 admin, 2 assistants, 2 nurses, and 2 kennel hands. The practice also engaged in a substantial amount of welfare and NPO work.

Description

• Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets.
• Assess and examine and diagnose patientsxe2x80x99 medical issues.
• Perform surgery, dress and treat wounds.
• Perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required.
• Prescribe medication.
• Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and immunisations.
• Educate clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets.
• Euthanise patients if and when needed.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain patientsxe2x80x99 medical records.

Minimum Requirements

• BVSc Degree
• SAVC Registration
• Updated CPD Points
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Dedication to continuing education and professional growth.
• A love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
