Job Description
Job Summary Qualifications: o Formal qualification in Mining Engineering or relevant discipline o Minimum requirement: Certificate in Mine Environmental Control o Member of Professional Body - Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa, o Desired: Masters and /or additional qualifications in relevant discipline. Experience required: o Demonstrated application of academic qualifications through experience working in the field of Ventilation Engineering. o Experience in design and review of mine ventilation and refrigeration systems in large, mechanized mines o 8 to 10 year's Practical experience in the Ventilation Engineering field. o Practical experience of at least 5 years as legally MHSA 12.1 appointee o At least 3 years at managerial position in the ventilation and occupational hygiene field o 5 years' experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of management systems and database formulation. o Working knowledge through training or experience of mine ventilation and refrigeration simulation program (Vuma / Ventsim) and experience in mine design programs (Deswik / Microstation) Additional requirements: o Code B (08) Driver's License o Successfully obtained a Red Ticket (Medical Fitness certificate) on mine o Your consideration for employment is subject to your SAPS Criminal Record verification and qualifications verification.
