UNIT MANAGER (PAEDIATRIC) - RONDEBOSCHPAEDIATRIC UNIT MANAGERThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating Paeds in line with clinical protocols and hospital strategic objectives.Critical Outputs:Providing effective management by:- Demonstrating visible leadership skill by sponsoring initiatives and projects and ensure change is supported.- Provide direction and inspire positive work behaviour.- Develop learning opportunities for staff.- Manage performance and productivity.- Adjust staffing appropriately to cover the needs of the ward (including reduction and increase)Conduct effective stock management by:- Reviewing and maintaining the relevant inventory control reports and stock levels. Ensuring effective product management by:- Managing the implementation of formulary changes, accelerated product conversions and improvement initiatives. Providing effective doctor relationships by:- Taking note of doctorxe2x80x99s requirements and addressing doctorxe2x80x99s complaints timeously.Producing effective quality systems management by:- Ensuring continuous improvement in patient safety.- Monitor employeesxe2x80x99 adherence to protocols and procedures.Requirements:Current registration with SANC as a Registered NurseAt least three years relevant Paediatric experience in a managerial capacityA relevant management qualification will be an advantageStrong leadership skills, sound communication and inter-personal skillsThe ability to work under pressure and assume responsibility for managing personal outputs.Computer proficiencyJob Type: Full-timeAbility to commute/relocate:Rondebosch, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
