Job Summary Requirements: Professional Nursing Qualification Diploma/Certificate in Nursing Administraton At least two years relevant experience in a leader/shift leader position i a Private Hospital Registration of SANC and proof of indemnity cover are pre-requisites Previous experience in a management position will be advantageous Knowledge of the legislative and Occupational Health and Safety requirements Valid Drivers licence and ability to travel Afterhours availability own transport Excellent Leadership qualities and mentoring skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills The skill to manage nursing standards and in-service training Maintain a professional image and character Build sound working relationships with multidisciplinary team Accurate record keeping and the management of stock Commitment to initiate and implement continuous improvement projects Excellent MS Office computer skills, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. Knowledge of the Kronos System Key Outputs: Be operational as well as manage the administrative duties Manage the OPD Ensure adherence to policies and procedures at all times Manage staff according to the Basic Conditions of Employment and the Disciplinary Code, staff-planning and Recruitment and Selection of staff Manage the day to day problem solving. Stock and equipment management including ordering of stock and equipment Accurate billing of stock utilised After hours cover as per a roster Conduct regular inspections Maintain infection control strategies and procedures of the hospital
