Job Summary Hire Tresolve's client, a reputable insurance company, is looking for a dedicated Personal Lines Underwriter to join their team in Bryanston. This permanent position plays a key role in assessing and managing personal insurance risks, issuing policies, and delivering top-tier client service. The ideal candidate will bring underwriting expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting both clients and internal teams.ResponsibilitiesUnderwriting & Policy ManagementIssue new policies, renewals, and endorsements using the C360 SystemPrepare new business quotesUnderwrite in line with company standards, policies, and proceduresSupport the sales team in acquiring and retaining profitable businessNegotiate renewal terms and prepare renewal documentationConduct renewal reviews and ensure timely completionMonitor and act on survey requirementsIdentify and rectify unprofitable policiesEnsure policies are correctly exposed and checked before client dispatchClient Service & CommunicationHandle client queries and amendments via telephone and emailResolve queries in accordance with company standardsEnsure documentation is accurate, authorised where required, and dispatched promptlySave all work electronically for future referenceService Delivery & Continuous ImprovementMaintain high service quality and output within functional processesResolve escalated customer queries and provide feedbackDevelop routines aligned with operational goalsRecommend process improvements for better service deliveryTeam Collaboration & Knowledge SharingAlign behaviour with company values and cultureShare knowledge and support team developmentCollaborate with Underwriting team to meet service level requirements
RequirementsMatricNQF Level 5 in Short-Term InsuranceRegulatory Exam Level 1DOFA confirmation from FSBPersonal Lines Class of BusinessCardinal 360 system experience (advantageous) * Minimum 2 years of Personal Underwriting experienceProficient in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of the personal insurance and financial services industry
