Job Description

Our client in the Logistics and Shipping industry is currently looking for a UI/UX Designer, in Roodepoort.
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers, to
• understand project requirements and translate them into intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Design and develop responsive and interactive user interfaces for our ecommerce platform, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and incorporate user feedback into the design process.
• Develop and maintain UI/UX guidelines, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the platform.
• Collaborate with the development team to implement UI designs using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate UI components with the logistics backend and CRM system.
• Optimize the performance and responsiveness of the user interfaces.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to web accessibility standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design, web development, and ecommerce.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your
• UI/UX design and development skills.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in UI frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.js to name a few.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
• Familiarity with user research methodologies, usability testing, and user analytics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in integrating UI with backend technologies and APIs.
• Knowledge of web development best practices, including performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility.
