Jnr Learning Designer (JB659)
Century City, Cape Town
R20 000 – R26000 per month
 
Lead planning, sourcing, developing and management of all learning material and storyboards.
Design engaging learning activities in context of a subject discipline and in collaboration with subject matter experts and other key stakeholders
Knowledge of learning science and instructional design theories applied to online course development
 
Educational requirements:
Proven portfolio of taking courses and degrees online
Experience in storyboarding for online courses
Extensive understanding of learning practices and theories
Knowledge of instructional design models for Higher Education
Lesson and curriculum planning skills
Knowledge of course development software – Articulate 360 and Rise
Knowledge of online systems
Ability to write copy/instructional text
Copy, fact and accuracy checking skills
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive online project and support key internal stakeholders
Working on multiple online related projects for online
Work with subject matter experts on delivering course content for online course material
Instructional design/learning design/story boarding
Apply tested instructional and learning design theories, practice and methods to inform the storyboarding process
Assist with providing exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
Assist in creation of support material
Review and support of the LMS
Proof reading and course testing
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
Identify target audiences training needs
Assist with providing exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
Assist in the creation of supporting materials
Research
Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and content
Conduct research on online courses
Administration
Check course content is received timeously
