We are seeking a Level 2 Cisco Network Implementation Engineer to join our team in Cape Town/Johannesburg at an internationally renowned leader in the IT industry. As a Level 2 Cisco Network Implementation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our global network infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of our cutting-edge technology solutions.

Job Details

• Interact with clients on site to meet requirements of a solution, implementation and support
• Respond to escalated client requests and support client applications to a second line resolution
• Write reports, As-built, LLD and maintain project documentation
• Compile Wireless survey reports
• Ability to articulate findings and recommendations to clients
• Assist with the documentation of standard operating procedures relating to installations and fixes
• Ability to scope the hours required for kit installation, configuration
• Ability to scope the hours required for wireless survey time and report
• Expected to take ownership of relevant technologies according to domain or specialization
• Good project skills which are demonstrated in the execution of installations and other assignments
• Demonstrate customer engagement and client centricity focus as a well-presented professional individual
• Proactive approach in problem solving with excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent grasping of deploying technical projects
• Standby rotation for support services and after-hours work on projects will be required
• Able to travel with in the region based into client sites
• Ability to travel Nationally if required for short periods
• Able to think outside the box with an appetite for new technology, eager to learn
• Solid work experience in a technical implementation engineering or similar role
• Excellent project management engagement skills
• Experienced Implementation record with references
• Physically fit, allot of walking required for site surveys

Academic Qualifications, Certifications and Experience

• CCNA / CCNP Wireless LAN Minimum 5 years
• Experience beneficial in Aruba, Meraki
• Experience beneficial deploying Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs)
• Experience beneficial using wireless survey tools (Eukahau)
• LAN Switching, Wireless, WAN protocols. IP Routing protocols
