Job Description


A client-centric investment management team seeks a Trust Accountant to join them. This is a stable and experienced team based in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town.

This role sits within their team's client tax team and is responsible for trust and individual income tax, related tax compliance support, preparation of financial statements for trusts, income tax returns for individuals etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of income returns, submission to SARS, calculations etc.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements of trusts
  • Capture of data on tax management and accounting tools
  • Offer advisory regarding tax matters for individuals and trusts alike
  • Assist with audit and compliance requirements
  • Tax planning recommendations
  • Client Liaison, resolving queries, feedback etc.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a completed accounting diploma or qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience ideally with income tax and trust accounting experience as well as provisional taxpayers experience
  • MSOffice literate with a minimum of MS Excel at intermediate level
  • Highly numerate with great attention to detail
  • Ability to work well independently and is a good self-starter
  • Must have excellent planning and organisational skills
