Job Description


The Western Cape Mobility Department has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to assist with the regulatory and compliance process of the taxi industry. These posts are based in Vangate - Athlone.
Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (or higher qualification); A minimum of 1 year experience in tranportation or Minibus Taxi Industry and compliance; A valid code B driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
RecommendationWorking knowledge of the National Land Transport Act (2009) and National Transport Regulations.
Key Performance AreasMonitor compliance of all registered taxi associations and its members handle and manage conflict; Capacitate minibus taxi industry; Investigation and mediation; Monitor compliance; General administrative duties; Keep and update registration records; Engage with relevant stakeholders and roleplayers regarding legislation.
