Transport Manager- Umbilo, KZNIntroductionOur client in Umbilo is looking for a Transport Manager.The ideal candidate will be someone who will be able to control, guide and manage deliveries and collections ensuring client satisfaction.Plan activities to ensure smooth end to end supply chain and logistics management.Duties & ResponsibilitiesUnderstand instructions from client/s and plan tasks accordingly.xe2x80xa2 Ensure all special requests are adhered to.xe2x80xa2 Co-ordinate smooth operation by attending to all possible problems or delays.xe2x80xa2 Receive and follow-up all requests / complaints from clients.xe2x80xa2 Maintain good relationship with suppliers and clients.xe2x80xa2 Supply quotations promptly and correctly to clients on request.xe2x80xa2 Ensure clear instructions are given to transporters.xe2x80xa2 Ensure that all clients are notified of all miscellaneous charges and invoices are raised accordingly.xe2x80xa2 Ensure that the containers are tracked and returned to nominated depots.xe2x80xa2 Ensure that daily overview report is updated.xe2x80xa2 Follow up on all shipments until complete.xe2x80xa2 Reconcile all work orders prior to handing to finance.xe2x80xa2 Ensure owned gensets are serviced and maintained according to OEM specifications.xe2x80xa2 Manage fueling on gensets and update report.xe2x80xa2 Plan work to avoid over/under commitment to clients.xe2x80xa2 Ensure controllers are on track with all work orders.xe2x80xa2 Ensure all work conducted is updated on relevant systems.xe2x80xa2 Provide weekly/monthly reports to Management.xe2x80xa2 Ensure all work orders received and invoiced.xe2x80xa2 Follow up on outstanding payments.Desired Experience & QualificationKnowledge of transport and container terminal operations.xe2x80xa2 Possess effective reporting and problem-solving skills.xe2x80xa2 High energy levels and must possess a passion for trucking and people.xe2x80xa2 Computer literacy xe2x80x93 Microsoft office and transport management systems.xe2x80xa2 Grade 12xe2x80xa2 Ability to work under pressure.xe2x80xa2 Good leadership skills.xe2x80xa2 Familiar with TPT systems and operations.xe2x80xa2 Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in transportation.Package & RemunerationTo be discussedApply Now
