Position: Transport & Logistics Dispatch
As a Transport & Logistics Dispatch, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching our fleet of vehicles to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials to our customers. You will work closely with our drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process orders from clients for transportation services
- Plan and schedule routes for our fleet of vehicles to ensure timely delivery
- Monitor and track the progress of shipments and communicate any delays or issues to clients
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities and update relevant systems
- Communicate with drivers to provide necessary instructions and updates on delivery schedules
- Handle and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to transportation services
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Continuously monitor and improve dispatch processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college education preferred
- Proven experience in dispatching or logistics role
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in using dispatch software and GPS tracking systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary
